On June 6, the first Transportation Research Summit was held in Beijing, and more than 1,000 representatives from home and abroad attended the meeting.
The three-day summit was jointly sponsored by the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and other units. It is understood that the Transportation Research Summit is a conference in the field of transportation jointly organized by a number of units in my country, and is committed to providing a communication platform for transportation researchers, educators, and engineering technicians.
At the plenary meeting, Zheng Jianlong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Jinquan, director of the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and academician Michael Walton from the United States and David Frost from the United Kingdom respectively focused on highway pavement, bridge, civil engineering and pavement. , transportation and emission reduction issues as a keynote report, and Nie Jianguo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Tsinghua University, made a concluding speech.
It is reported that the summit has seven sub-sections on pavement materials, pavement structure, subgrade and geotechnical, tunnels, bridges, traffic planning, and interdisciplinary subjects, as well as a salon, an academician forum, a youth forum, and an entrepreneur forum of the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport. . During the meeting, the representatives will also visit the test site of the Ministry of Highway Science Research Institute.
